How Coaching & Hypnotherapy Works

Firstly, it's important to feel comfortable with the coach that you choose.  This is why I offer a free 45-minute consultation.  This free consultation gives you the chance to get a feel for how we would work together and to ask any questions about the process.  After that, I want us to ensure that you have the best opportunity to meet your goals which is why I have developed taster sessions and coaching plans.  For anything that is not listed on the website, we can discuss and put together a tailored plan. 

What else can you expect?  Expect to be challenged in a safe, supportive environment, to think about things in a different way, to have 'aha' moments, to feel relief when you get a better understanding, to feel more power, resourcefulness and confidence  - and oh, you might get some homework!

NLP has established itself worldwide as a powerful and effective approach for helping people release blocks, fears and limitations and to see new, more resourceful ways to move forward with their lives with greater understanding of themselves and how others communicate.  Whether for personal development or in a business context it is a powerful tool for change.

What is it? 

NLP is a system that works on a combination of factors and how they work together to help you operate and perceive the world.  Neuro, is all about the brain, how it functions and processes information; 'Linguistic' is about the language we use to understand the world and communicate with others and 'Programming' is the systems all of us employ every day.  For example the 'strategy' or 'programme' we use to help us decide what to buy in a shop, or far simpler, for getting out of bed in the morning!

Unlike most coaching strategies, NLP works on the unconcious mind.  This is where your fears, emotions, memories and programming reside.  This is important because your logical, concious mind is led by your unconcious which is there to protect you and keep your body and mind running.  You might think logically that of course that dog is not going to bite you and that you will be fine but your unconcious has saved a stack of evidence through your life (or even other people's experiences that you have learnt from) to remind you and warn you of the danger.  In this instance, the unconcious mind will win and you will be scared or anxious about the dog.  NLP processes help you work through events, memories, thought processes, fears, phobias, limiting beliefs and emotions (some of which you may not be aware of that are affecting confidence, anxiety, motivation, ability to love, stress....and more) to gain greater understanding and to release them.  

In a business context, it can help professionals break through motivational and results blocks for greater success, give you tools to understand colleagues better and to communicate better with clients.



Developed by the world-renowned coach, Tony Robbins and international psychotherapist and author, Chloe Madanes, SI is designed to enable clients to get fast breakthroughs with whatever they are grappling with using techniques taking elements from NLP and Eriksonian theory from which they developed the '6 Human Needs Psychology' approach.

What's Different About It?

SI gives you a clear and simple structure to understand what you do and what you need for your life based around 6 Human Needs which everyone has.  By understanding this, you also then understand better the needs of others and why you might be in conflict with them or why perhaps you are not getting what you need from your relationship with your romantic partner.  Unlike many coaching methods that simply focus on your goals and encourage you to meet 'deadlines' or gets entrenched in your 'problem'; SI helps you to quickly move forward and start gaining positive results as you learn to change your approach and mindset and understand your motivations and those of others far better.  Don't get me wrong, you still need goals and frameworks but SI gives you both the 'how' and the 'why' to get there.


Hypnosis is a complementary thereapy that complements SI and NLP well.

Hypnotherapy is a form of complementary therapy that utilises the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings and behaviour.The process itself aims to alter our state of consciousness in a way that relaxes the conscious part of the mind while simultaneously stimulating and focussing the subconscious part.
